YES Ltd looks to the future with young talent

Matthew Brown and Ryan Lee-Storey

Your Embroidery Services Ltd has welcomed a new apprentice to the company.

Matthew Brown, 16, will be working alongside highly skilled instructors who will help to instil the skills and knowledge required to excel in technical engineering.

Also joining the company is Ryan Lee-Storey, 21, who joins as a junior technician.

Roy Burton, managing director, said: “We are very excited to be investing in the exciting new training programme. A lot of the workforce in the textile industry have retired and as a result, skills have been lost.

“We are trying to prevent a further loss by recruiting young staff into our company, allowing them to grow into highly-skilled technicians able to install, train, and service our customers of tomorrow.

“Here at YES Ltd, it is our belief that companies must share the responsibility of creating and maintaining strong training programmes in order to keep the industry alive and kicking for the future generations to come.”

To meet this goal, the company intends to take on one or two apprentices each year. The team will guide these new apprentices through a training cycle of five to seven years in order to give them the time to become confident, skilled technicians ready to take care of our important customers.
