2020 is a special year for the team at YES Ltd because they will be celebrating 25 years of serving the embroidery, and more recently, the print industry which in these here today, gone tomorrow, throw away days we live in is quite a story. In that quarter of a century the company has grown from a make-shift office and warehouse to become a multi-million-pound international supplier and developer of machinery.
No mean achievement!
YES Ltd began trading on St Valentine’s Day 1995 in CEO Roy Burton’s home office supplying used machines and expertise and it soon became obvious that the former was the more profitable.
Since those early days the company has gone through many changes and taken on many differing product lines. Possibly the most important one though was the acquisition of the distribution rights for SWF embroidery machines. Little known in those days but destined to become a world leading supplier of this type of equipment and still the only manufacturer to produce an embroidery machine that can embroider two different patterns and/or products at the same time.
The expanding team at YES was not just interested in selling though. Driven by Roy’s technical knowledge and know-how, they also wanted to be involved in design and development.
It was this interest that lead to them becoming involved in advancing what was then a brand-new technology – direct to garment printing and the outcome of this was the industry leading DTG Digital machines. These are the only machines on the market using bespoke firmware which allows printing at lower resolution without the usual banding problem. This results in higher output and profitability.Since the introduction of the first DTG Digital machines the range includes many ground breaking features that have become a standard part of the technique.
One of the key reasons for the success of YES Ltd is its commitment to customer service. The ground rules for service and support are the same today as they were in Roy’s small home office and the ethos that was developed in those early days has stayed at the root of the company. Roy and the team expect first class service from their suppliers so it is only right that they supply the same to their clientele. YES Ltd supports customers with quality, service and value for money. It is difficult for Roy to believe that next year will be 25 years of YES Ltd.
Time has gone so quickly and, to quote him: “It only seems like yesterday that we were a startup business.” Here’s to the next 25.
*To celebrate this milestone YES Ltd is giving away a SWF MAN 12 one of the most advanced single head machines available.
