WTiN launches virtual trade show for the textile and apparel industry

World Textile Information Network (WTiN), a Leeds-based information provider to the global textile and apparel industry, is organising its first virtual trade show in response to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Innovate Textile & Apparel will take place between October 15 and 30, with exhibitors including fibre manufacturers, dye and chemical companies, machinery manufacturers and more.

Mark Jarvis, managing director, WTiN, said: “We noticed early on that live exhibitions around the world were being cancelled so there were no longer platforms available for the textile industry to get together and share ideas and new products.

“We therefore decided to create a virtual trade show called Innovate Textile & Apparel to keep the industry connected during this difficult time.”

Visitors to the virtual trade show can explore new technological and material innovations, network with key players across the industry and agree new partnerships. Exhibitor booths have several inbuilt design elements, with room for individual customisation. These design elements include several functions such as videos, brochures, online meetings and seminar platforms. These features ensure that visitors can find out everything they need to know about the exhibitor through a variety of mediums. What’s more, every day of Innovate Textile & Apparel will see online roundtable discussions from industry leaders who bring an informed perspective to market developments.

So far, more than 150 exhibitors from more than 26 countries across the world have signed up to the event.

Mimaki Europe is one of the exhibitors already signed up. The company will create a virtual showcase of its latest textile solutions including the flagship dye sublimation printer, TS55-1800, and the new hybrid printer, TX300P-1800 MkII. While Polyprint will exhibit the TexJet shortee2, the TexJet echo2 and the new PreTreater Pro.
