Wild Thang announces major redevelopment

The development team

Liverpool-based Wild Thang will undertake plans to create new office space and production facility, plus investment in new machinery to take the business to the next level.

Andrew Dwerryhouse, Wild Thang MD, said: “This is a big moment in the company’s history, maybe even the biggest moment ever, so we are incredibly excited to announce the major redevelopment of our premises and production over approximately the next four months.

“We have already made positive progress with ground work happening over the last three months with the help of a fantastic development team. It’s a long process to bring a development to fruition and you need the right team around you to deliver on this sort of scale and of course the whole journey has not been without its challenges given the complexity of the redevelopment being completed while we continue to do business day to day.

“As a company we really know the importance of creating the right team internally. Having seen 18%+ growth for each of the last three years we now want to take things to the next level so have the aspiration as a team to break into the elite top 1% of companies in our industry, aiming for 20%+ growth in the next two years after the development is completed.

“Things have really never looked more positive for Wild Thang and we are now Liverpool City Region’s biggest supplier in our sector, even after 23 years in business we are more excited than ever about the future opportunities for the company and its employees.

“We genuinely believe the completed development will deliver a world class environment for our clients and colleagues that will allow us to take the business to the next world class level which will hopefully lead to increasing our staff levels locally by approximately 25% over the next two to three years.”

Building contractor Frank Rogers was successful in its bid during the tender process and will undertake the project. Dean Rogers, Frank Rogers MD, added: “As a Liverpool firm, it’s always great to work with other pioneering local firms who are helping put the city region on the map nationally. Wild Thang is undoubtedly making waves within its sector and now, with these new extended and upgraded facilities, they now have the space and scope to further grow and expand.”

The investment in the development of the new premises, new machinery and infrastructure will cost in the region of £2m. The completion and launch date will be announced shortly.
