With six months to go until PSI 2016 opens its doors in Düsseldorf, the European trade show of the promotional products industry is already taking shape.

The show will take place from January 13 to 15 next year, and will place a strong emphasis on the issues of sustainability and transfer of knowledge. At the same time, textiles will take a central theme.

Sustainability

The issue of sustainability is gaining in importance for the promotional products.

A new exhibition area called the PSI Institute Competence Area will have sustainable products on show, allowing exhibitors and visitors the opportunity to gain more in-depth knowledge of all aspects of promotional products.

Free lectures will deal with topics of sustainability and product safety, the appropriate way to launch a product on the market, piracy and counterfeiting, import regulations or sustainable textile finishing.

Textiles

It is estimated that almost 50% of the visitors have an interest in textiles for  advertising use, making this a big theme at the show.

The Textile Area will be expanded for next year’s exhibition and will show everything that could be of interest to textile specialists; from current developments and trends to the latest printing and finishing machines. This area will be supplemented by the Textile Finishing Area will be all about possible option for textile finishing.

The catwalk will be a main feature where exhibitors will present the latest fashion highlights.

See and taste

The Gusto area will offer a sensual experience where visitors will be able to literally take in the promotional products presented here; from chocolates to fragrance.

The Technology Forum on the other hand is all about the technical side. Companies from the printing and finishing segments will present their processes and machines here. It also incorporates the Demonstration Area, with various stations offering practical demonstrations of various stages of finishing and manufacturing processes.

At present, almost 70% of stands have been booked. Among those already confirming their place are Lensen Toppoint, Mid Ocean Brands and Troika.

Ticket sales have already opened.
