An unparalleled range of sublimation printers

TS30-1300

Mimaki’s heritage in the textile printing market is unrivalled, and the company boasts an extensive range of dye-sublimation hardware to suit almost any budget, space and workflow requirements. With new products continuing to be brought to market, it’s an ideal time to look at incorporating a dye sublimation side to print businesses or expanding your portfolio.

FESPA 2017 saw the arrival of the entry level TS30-1300, bringing true wide format production dye sub to a new and much lower price point. The 1.3m wide roll-to-roll sublimation transfer inkjet printer enables users to quickly and easily print their designs on demand at speeds up to 20sq m per hour and features a selected set of functions that reduces the operator learning curve, making it extremely easy to use and the bundled RasterLink6 software along with the printer’s highly functional Sb54 ink make it simple for even first-time users to get up and running quickly.

Brett Platt, textile product manager for Mimaki’s UK and Irish distributor, Hybrid Services, says: “The TS30-1300 offers an ideal solution for clothing and apparel companies looking for a simple dye sublimation printer.

“The TS30 is ideal for in-house production of low-volume printed products, including prototyping of textiles or sports apparel, or creation of customised items. This reduces lead times for sample delivery when compared to outsourcing and design changes can be implemented quickly. Equipped with eight inks, it will soon be available with Mimaki’s impressive fluorescent options, ensuring dancewear and event branding stands out in extraordinary shades. At just £7,495 it offers Mimaki’s typically high print and build quality to a new audience and is expected to do very well.”

Numerous options

Alongside the TS30, Mimaki has numerous other options for companies looking at investing in their first wide format dye sub setup. Products such as Mimaki’s CJV150 series integrated printer/cutters deliver a neat, highly compact and very simple to use print and cut dye sub system in a range of four sizes from 80cm to 1.6m that are ideal for companies who need to produce cut, shaped placement prints, for transferring to garments, mugs and other rigid substrates. The cutting function can also be utilised in isolation to cut coloured or decorative garment marking film to create bold and special effects, it’s a true entry-level option.

Some sublimated shirts

Brett continues: “For companies seeking even greater capacity and flexibility, we are currently running a very attractively priced promotion on the 1.6m wide Mimaki print and cut bundles. Where companies need additional throughput, a separate printer and cutter delivers the ultimate solution and our current offer on the 1.6m JV150 and JV300 printers, paired with Mimaki’s CG-FXII cutting plotter gives huge functionality at a significant saving when purchased together.”

Mimaki’s wide format dye sublimation range also includes its high production TS300P which has rapidly become the industry standard volume transfer option since its launch last year and is ideal for printing sportswear, corporate wear and fast fashion to the apparel industry.

Value and vibrancy

Brett explains: “The TS300P offers super-fast print speeds of up to 115sq m/hr and printing onto transfer paper up to 1.8m wide, Mimaki’s Sb410 high performance, dye sublimation transfer ink is designed to deliver competitively priced output, which includes options for fluorescent pink and yellow to add value and vibrancy to bespoke team wear, while enhancing visibility to sports garments for outdoor activities.

“We’re also seeing significant interest from sportswear, dancewear and fitness apparel manufacturers who are especially attracted by the fluorescent sublimation inks.”

With choices to suit a variety of budgets and production requirements, Mimaki’s range of sublimation printers is unparalleled – and with demonstration machines available both at Hybrid’s showroom in Cheshire and around the UK and Ireland through its specialist textile resellers, it’s never been easier to try one out.
