Sabur raises £2,000 for Help for Heroes

What started as a small campaign to show respect for the Armed Forces in 2012, has seen Sabur Digital raise £2,000 for Help for Heroes.

In November last year, Sabur wrapped the rear doors of five of its vehicles and each was sponsored by businesses local to Barnsley.

The money raised goes towards Michael and Susan Thornton’s campaign to raise £100,000 for the charity. Mr and Mrs Thornton tragically lost their son Private Matthew Thornton, who was killed in Afghanistan in November 2011.

Sabur managing director, Dean Sanger, said: “I would personally like to thank all involved in our recent campaign to raise funds Help for Heroes. The campaign brought together five local printers and sign makers who each individually wrapped a vehicle free of charge and local businesses who each sponsored a vehicle.

“The Thorntons are from my village and I grew up with them, so where the funds raised went to was a no brainer.”
