BagBase in 2016 is all about new styles and new colours. The brand has taken some much loved retail favourites and reinvented them, updated styles, textures and bag shapes, and expanded its colour palettes.
BagBase is aiming to put the fun into funky bag design with 22 new products across nine key areas and five entirely new bag collections – Onyx, Campus, Canvas, Athleisure and Graphic. It states: “Together with our new TearAway labelling it is now even easier to utilise BagBase products in your own brand!”
The Onyx range comprises six bags, all inspired by the catwalk and high street trends. These new styles are defined by its premium quality high-density twill fabric, leather-look details and metal trims. From the BG867 Onyx Backpack to the BG869 Onyx Weekender, the new range is on-trend and has retail-ready appeal.
The Bagbase Original Retro range is an evolution of the brand’s popular Retro bags. With consumers already embracing 80s and 90s retro-sports fashions, this collection will provide a great finishing touch to any outfit. The BG98 Original Retro Across Body Bag is inspired by the emerging European trend towards more practical bags. It frees up your hands while on the move, making it ideal for workdays (in the black/black colourway), away days and holidays, too. The BG91 Original Retro Messenger, BG95 Original Retro Bowling Bag and BG98 Original Retro Across Body Bag are all made in authentic PU and have been designed for ease of decoration and rebranding.
Campus, as the name suggests, was created for students and busy commuters alike. Designed with features such as authentic PU and metal accents, Campus is a new three-piece collection that exudes a classic heritage feel, while offering modern functionality, such as laptop compartments, for those on the move. “The BG261 Campus Laptop Messenger and BG260 Campus Laptop Brief are prepped to become very popular in 2016 due to the versatility of material, decoration and heritage styling,” says BagBase.
The new Oakdale Canvas range includes the BG640 Oakdale Canvas Weekender and BG645 Oakdale Canvas Backpack, both of which are made from 100% cotton canvas and feature TearAway labels for ease of rebranding. These latest additions to the canvas range of stylish casual bags is inspired by the relaxed retail-ready influence of heritage Scandinavian utility brands and are expected to have great appeal in 2016.
Also making a statement is the new Athleisure range of bags. Athleisure – the wearing of sportswear for casual use – is now a personal lifestyle statement about wellness, health and fashion and has been the largest growing category in the retail sector for last 12 months, BagBase reports. The BG542 Athleisure Gymsac and BG546 Athleisure Kit Bag are inspired by this trend, and the move away from the traditional gym style bags and towards outdoor sporting bag styles. “The Athleisure range is transitional, fashionable and functional with multi-purpose appeal,” adds the brand.
The Graphic collection is a first for BagBase. Offering fashionable graphic appeal, the new styles come in a choice of six designs that have been carefully researched to reflect classic and emerging patterns as well as high street favourites. The bags, which feature 300D/600D polyester and a TearAway label for ease of rebranding, range from the BG180 Graphic Drawstring Backpack through to BG188 Graphic Backpack. The six design themes transcend a selection of Beechfield Brands products, allowing the end user to achieve a fully coordinated promotional item package with Beechfield headwear styles.
“Bagbase is setting the pace for ‘Retail-Ready’ products in 2016. We’re complementing our classic styles with new forward-thinking fashion designs in an extended palette of synchronised colours that promote high street quality at promotional prices,” comments the brand.
