Pushing the possibilities with new ranges

BagBase has launched a remarkable 36 new Retail Ready styles for 2015, bringing its customers’ bag offerings bang up to date with current high street fashion bag trends. The additions include two brand new ranges – Affinity and Sublimation – which open up fresh sales possibilities across many market sectors.

The Sublimation Collection by BagBase comprises 15 popular bag designs stretching from backpacks, reporters and messenger bags to shoppers, iPad/tablet cases and a pencil case. Every product has been designed to meet the specific requirements of sublimation printing: they are made from HD polyester fabrics for a flat and even print surface, feature top-stitched, flattened seams for maximum print spread, have removable card inserts to prevent inner coatings from sticking together during pressing and to raise the print surface for all-over printing, cotton drawcords that won’t melt and can be left in the bags during printing, and clear thread, so there is no visible stitching to distract attention from the print.

The new Affinity range responds directly to the renewed interest in sustainable brandable products. The BG881 Affinity Re-Pet Reporter, BG885 Affinity Re-Pet Backpack and BG887 Affinity Re-Pet Weekender use RePet 100% recycled polyester fabric made from recycled plastic drink bottles. Between 12 and 22 bottles are used to make each bag – bottles that would otherwise have ended up in landfill. The products combine sophisticated looks with planet-friendly credentials and feature multiple pockets, plus sophisticated contrast-colour full lining. The reporter and backpack are also laptop compatible.

Holidaymakers and business travellers will love the new Escape travel luggage designs, which feature clever dual compartment designs to remove the chore from packing. The BG460 Escape Ultimate Cabin Carryall, BG461 Escape Dual-Layer Cabin Wheelie, BG462 Escape Dual-Layer Medium Wheelie, and BG463 Escape Dual-Layer Large Wheelie offer capacities from 34 to 95 litres. The Escape Ultimate Cabin Carryall is an incredibly versatile travel bag and is sized to fit most aircraft cabins making it the perfect item of carry-on luggage. The BG461 is also aircraft cabin compatible and like the other two larger bags features a retractable twin tube locking tow handle, durable integrated skate wheels, and removable EasyPanel for ease of decoration. The four bags come in a choice of three colours.

Fun, functional and fashionable, the BG431 iPad Mini/Tablet Shuttle, BG343 iPad/Tablet Shuttle, and BG345 iPad/Tablet Reporter are great new solutions for carrying modern digital communications devices. Black, fuchsia, purple and sapphire blue colourways will ensure these new styles are always the centre of attention.

For smartphone users, there is the BG49 Phone Pouch XL. Featuring a detachable adjustable neck cord, belt loop and carabiner clip, zippered pocket and Rip-Strip closure, the pouch is sized to accommodate the latest oversized smartphones and ‘phablets’.

Retro fashion is dominating the high street, prompting BagBase to add two further styles to its popular Vintage range. The new BG623 Vintage Tote and BG628 Vintage Overnighter share the same heritage styling as the existing Vintage styles and are finished with authentic PU and metal accents. Both feature BagBase’s TearAway labelling system, making them ideal for rebranding and on-sale in retail.

The new BG855 Roll-Top Backpack also benefits from a heritage image and is at the leading edge of current retail bag fashion. The bag has a padded laptop compartment, padded adjustable shoulder straps and padded back and base panels, for comfort and enhanced contents protection.

The BG683 Westcove Canvas Tote, in 100% brushed cotton canvas, and BG693 Riviera Tote, in 100% polyester twill, are super-stylish carrying solutions for shoppers who want their bags to look as fashionable as their outfits. The 22 litre capacity BG683 has contrast colour handles and base panel in a choice of three colourways, while the BG693 comes in suitably chic black.

Two new BagBase messenger styles will have maximum appeal for students and business people. The BG325 Classic Satchel Messenger with rear zippered plush lined media pocket is a modern update on the traditional school satchel, while the BG331 is a sleek, minimalist carrying solution for today’s conference delegate, and doubles as a compact and lightweight everyday work bag.

BagBase has bolstered its extensive selection of backpacks with the new BG120 Freshman Backpack, a fashion-forward bag with on-trend tan bottom panels and a choice of six colours, and the BG125LMaxi Fashion Backpack, a larger (18 litre capacity) version of the BG125 Original Fashion Backpack, with TearAway labelling.

The final new addition for 2015 sees the welcome launch of a dedicated carrying solution for the growing dance class market. The BG145 Junior Dance Bag can be carried in the hand or over the shoulder and features a zippered main pocket, zippered front pocket and handy internal mesh pocket. The funky bag comes in three dance-oriented colourways and has contrast trim around the edges of both compartments.
