Tuesday to Thursday becomes the new Wednesday to Friday as PSI, Europe’s promotional products trade show, will take place on new days of the week.
Next year, the show will take place in Düsseldorf from Tuesday, January 10 to Thursday, January 12.
Another new aspect of the show in 2017 is the option for distributors to invite their industry customers to attend PSI on the last day of the event.
PSI used to be a closed-shop event, accessible only to suppliers and consultants from the promotional products industry. But not anymore. The first two days will remain reserved for PSI members, but industry customers can now attend on the third and final day of the show.
GWW chairman, Patrick Politze, said: “We have to act with confidence and, in a dialogue with advertisers, demonstrate the original and multifaceted potential of promotional products as advertising media. And what could be better suited to do just that than the largest exhibition of the industry anywhere in Europe?
“This decision is rooted in a great sense of responsibility for the industry and in mutual trust.”
PSI managing director Michael Freter also welcomed the GWW’s decision to open up the show to a larger audience. He said: “As Europe’s leading exhibition, the PSI Show offers ideal possibilities for developing wider advertising industry circles for promotional products. The PSI Show is aimed at whetting customers’ appetite for even more promotional products. But something else is equally clear: this hunger will still be satisfied by promotional products consultants.”
At present a number of key players, including Mid Ocean Brands and Daiber, have already booked their stands, with 75% of the exhibition space already sold.
