David Wilson, MD of Preseli and Justin Jones, the office manager, joined 7,000 other runners in completing the 34th Chester Half Marathon on Sunday, May 17.

The two men finished the 13.2 mile course in two and a half hours and were both delighted to have completed the race successfully.

Between the two of them around £2,000 was raised for the Tree of Hope to support Ava Evans in getting her walking wish.

Three-year-old Ava from Prestatyn was born with a condition that means, unless she can travel to the US for a life-changing operation, she will never walk.

Following the event David and Justin said: “We were delighted to have finished and even more delighted by the generous response of so many who supported us and we are so pleased to be able to contribute towards the cost of Ava’s treatment. Thank you to everyone who gave and for all your support.”
