The demand for ethically produced garments in the promotional market has increased due to the influence of high street fashion, designers and celebrities that have brought environmentally friendly fashion from the corner to the spotlight.

Okarma is committed to using natural fibres through the use of organic cotton. Control Union certified, Okarma meets and often exceeds the Control Unions stringent standards with regards to organic cotton production and its subsequent use. The organic cotton used for Okarma garments is grown without the use of genetic modification, pesticides, herbicides, insecticides or defoliants, there is complete traceability of the organic cotton on its journey where it’s grown on carefully selected farms through to manufacturing at the factory.

The Okarma collection features a kids and ladies T shirt, an organic polo and a recycled polyester bottle shopping bag. The OK11 Ladies Organic Fitted T-Shirt made from lighter weight 160gsm 100% certified organic combed cotton single jersey fabric. Fitted in style to flatter the female silhouette, it has a taped rib neck, side seams, twin needle stitching at sleeves and hem. It comes in six colours including pink and sizes S-XL.

The OK10B Children’s Tee is perfect for afterschool clubs or playgroups who want to provide matching outfits for their young members at the same time as showing their awareness of ethical issues. OK10B comes in four colours (natural, navy, olive and white), and is available for children aged 3-13.

The OK020 polo shirt is made from 100% Certified GOTS and Control Union Combed and Organic Cotton which is not treated with any harmful chemicals, the garment is ‘purer’ than if it were made from conventional cotton and this makes it better quality, softer, and more comfortable to wear. Available in three colours (navy, red and royal) and sizes S-XXL.

Okarma doesn’t only produce clothing, the brand also wanted to do more for the environment so it introduced a 100% Recycled Polyester Bottle Shopping Bag, OK44, which uses recycled plastic bottles instead of oil in its construction. Every Okarma Bottle Bag is made with around four plastic bottles: four more bottles towards a healthier planet. Its 10-litre capacity makes this tote practical as well as eco-friendly and is available in three natural colours.
