New head of sales for Madeira UK

Karen Burrows, MD, with new recruit Andrew Maylor

Andrew Maylor has been appointed to the role of head of sales at Madeira UK.

He replaces Mike Cornish, who after 18 years with Madeira has decided to retire in June 2018. Mr Maylor will be servicing the key accounts that Mr Cornish successfully oversaw during his time with the company.

Mr Maylor started his role in October, with him covering all aspects of industrial sales for the brand. He has over 20 years sales experience within the fashion and workwear industry and brings a depth of knowledge to the already experienced sales team.

Mr Maylor said: “Madeira’s corporate philosophy is one of continual improvement which sits very closely with my own outlook and work ethic. The product range is extensive and Madeira has a history of innovation and of constantly endeavouring to recognise trends and styles in fashion. It is an exciting time to join the company and I am delighted to head up this division and continue the long standing success that Madeira has historically achieved”.

Karen Burrows, Madeira UK’s managing director, added: “We are very excited to welcome Andrew to Madeira. His past achievements in the workwear and textile industry will add a new level of experience to our sales team. Andrew’s proven leadership skills within the sales and marketing environment will prove invaluable.”

Mr Maylor will be working closely with customers and distributors, to maintain a high level of service and support new and existing products in the market.
