MHM provides a ‘glimpse of the future’

Capable of printing up to 1,100 pieces per hour, the MHM iQ-Digital was launched at SGIA in Las Vegas last month.

This screen and digital hybrid machine is able to compete competently in both fields. It features a maximum print area of 63x120cm, with printing on both sides of the machine enabling the personalisation of two pieces in one high speed pass. It uses water-based inks and features Ricoh digital print heads.

Managing director of MHM Direct GB, John Potter, said: “The presence of the iQ-Digital at SGIA provided a glimpse of the future.

“It is the most serious attempt yet of bringing digital print production levels up to those of screen printing. As a concept it was demonstrating just what can be achieved.”

The machine is not currently available for sale, with pre-orders being taken in January 2017.
