Menswear can be interesting

A couple of years ago, a fashion journalist for one of the UK broadsheets suggested that menswear was ‘either weird or boring’.

It’s true indeed to say that society does appear to afford women the opportunity for a much wider range of clothing choice but it’s also true that women are more often criticised for getting it wrong.

Mark Zuckerberg’s choice of go-to garment (and let’s face it, he’s not short of a bob or two) is a T shirt. T shirts are functional, they serve a purpose and serve it well and, in our industry and with the plethora of styles and brands and colours around, we reckon the T shirt is far from boring.

Menswear can be interesting; it does indeed offer choice and there’s much to be found in terms of points of difference.

Mantis’ new-for-16 Men’s Scoop Neck T Raw Scoop T (ref M120) offers on-point styling; a slightly lower and wider neckline with raw edge trim, and is ethically made in organic cotton jersey. In terms of go-to and on-trend garments, it’s a winner all around: it’s neither boring or weird and the brand is even reporting strong sales for it from womenswear customers. And don’t forget Mantis’ Superstar range including super-soft and peach-skin feel Ts; many e-tail and own-label brands having made it their T of choice due to its instant feel-appeal.

Mantis indeed loves T-shirts and love making them well.
