Making the sun shine in 2020

Resolute plans to make the sun shine in 2020 with its Green Button DTG systems, Kodak inks, a host of Ricoh customisations and a new range of LED UV flatbed printers.

There is no doubt about it, businesses in 2019 have been conscious of the way Brexit could affect them. During this chaos Resolute DTG has remained focused on the UK’s buoyant DTG and UV printed promotional items industry.

Despite the disruption, towards the end of 2019 Resolute has successfully launched two of the industry’s market leading decoration systems. In 2020 these new systems will be available with variations depending on the required production levels required.

Green Button DTG printing systems

A long time coming, Resolute has successfully combined state-of-the-art equipment from all corners of the globe to create one of the most productive and cost effective DTG printing systems.

Available in two configurations depending on the required throughput, both Resolute’s Green Button DTG systems are scalable. Made possible by Resolute’s own RIP software and modifications to a standard Ricoh Ri 1000 DTG printer, multiple devices can be driven from one central computer. Some of the many features these systems include are exclusive to Resolute DTG including the faster print modes made available through the Resolute RIP software.

Resolute’s chosen pre-treatment machine is the only one available that can be programmed to spray in a specific area. Working like a flatbed printer it uses a spray nozzle instead of a print head to deliver the right amount of pre-treatment in a specific area with stunning accuracy. It can also be programmed by scanning a barcode to simplify orders taken via the internet. With automatic nozzle maintenance and no edge to edge overspray this really is the most economical pre-treatment system available. It of course has a Green Button to activate the process.

New for 2020 will be a smaller version of the Viper MAXX which will replace the entry level XPT 1000 currently used in Resolute’s low volume option Green Button DTG systems.

ARTprint high quality canvas production made simple with Resolute’s Green Button DTG system

ARTprint adds another revenue stream to Resolute’s Green Button DTG systems

Resolute has teamed up with Ricoh US to bring a canvas printing system specifically designed for the Ricoh Ri 1000 DTG printer to the UK.

This clever system allows for three different sizes of canvas to be printed and then simply wrapped around the bars. The acid free neutral PH, finely textured, archival grade canvas is printed with a special print mode available in the Resolute RIP. No pre-treatment is required and the prints air dry without curing.

The process is made very simple by the custom-made kit that includes everything you need to create a professional looking canvas, with fully printed wrap around edges. Available in semi-gloss and deluxe matte finishes. Special brushes are included to allow for extra swirls and finishes to be added if required.

Popular frames sizes ranging from 20x20cm up to 40x50cm add another income stream to your Ricoh Ri 1000 without the need for any extra equipment. Profit margins on canvas prints are often higher than printing on T shirts due to the single and low volume requirements.

Production water bottle printing made simple with the 1800s UV printer

LED UV flatbed printing

Also new for 2020 are some exciting features in Resolute’s new line of flatbed UV printers.

The recently launched 1800S and 1800BG models are packed with new features in both hardware and software. Both models benefit from faster print modes made possible by a higher frequency LED UV lamp with auto cooling features.

The new models also benefit from a large print area of 600x300mm and substrate depth of up to 350mm.

The BG model comes standard with a vacuum bed and the patented digital braille module. This allows for braille signage to be produce in a fraction of the time and cost over conventional methods. Printing full cylindrical wraps on water bottles and similar is also made possible by the optional EasyCyl attachment. This production tool is not just for sampling, it can run all day printing bottles and even produce braille and textured printing onto bottles and flasks.

To Resolute’s knowledge there is no other UV printer that can produce such a wide range of products, and let’s not forget, when using the F6T flexible inks polyester and cotton garments, including high-vis can be printed in glorious colour with fantastic durability.

Kodak DTG inks, pre-treatments and cleaning solutions

Earlier in the year Resolute signed a deal with Eastman Kodak company in New York to manufacture the new DTG formulations that have been developed. Resolute now supplies to the UK and the rest of Europe with these products.

These inks have been received very well delivering improvements in colour gamut, huge open times and the best durability in the wash ever witnessed. Currently available as an Epson formulation, the Ricoh formulation will be available in 2020.
