Making a return with new product ranges

Expert Expolite Thermal Jacket, Expert Women’s Miska 200 Jacket and Expert Women’s Kiwi Trousers

Craghoppers Expert is back in September 2021 with new ranges for men and women which are perfect for those seeking technical, performance product for work. With a strong brand heritage behind it, Craghoppers Expert is well placed for this market.

Craghoppers has been working with English Heritage for the last two years. EH staff from over 400 English Heritage sites across the UK wear Craghoppers jackets, softshell and fleece, to stay warm and protected from the elements while working in the outdoors.

For eight years, Craghoppers has supported the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund in Rwanda and Congo. Their rangers wear Craghoppers clothing which is suitable for the challenges of working in the harsh environment of the mountain forests. These partnerships not only test the products in sometimes extreme environments but also support very worthy conservation projects.

Relaunch

For the relaunch of the Craghoppers Expert brand, the first brand shoot took place at one of English Heritage’s iconic sites. Belsay Hall in Northumberland is known for its beautiful gardens, but the site also provided a medieval castle and Grecian Hall as backdrops to the shoot.

Craghoppers prides itself on being a sustainable brand by working ethically with its factories, ensuring the wellbeing of the workers and their communities; making the production process as sustainable as possible and reducing its impact on the environment and supporting a variety of conservation projects. It was recognised in the 2020 Drapers Awards as Sustainable Fashion Brand of the Year and Craghoppers continues to push itself in all these areas. This sustainable ethos carries over into the Craghoppers Expert brand. The full range (except for the socks) is made from either recycled plastic bottles or other recycled materials and also all waterproof jacket fabrics are Bluesign approved and BCI Cotton is used in some of the Kiwi trousers.

Expert Thermic Insulated Jacket and Expert Kiwi Tailored Convertible Trousers

The range

The range comprises 21 clothing styles. Men and women specific products include a softshell, a full and half zip fleece, a short and long-sleeved shirt and three Kiwi trousers. Unisex styles include four jackets – three waterproof styles including a thermal, shell and 3-in-1 with a softshell inner and an insulated jacket and two vests – one insulated and one softshell. There are also seven accessories – three hats, three rucksacks and a pair of socks, providing a comprehensive range suitable for most types of outdoor work.

Clothing technology

Technologies used in the range include the inherent anti-insect NosiDefence in the shirts and trousers which is too tough for insects to bite through; EcoShield a PFC free DWR plant-based finish which features on waterproofs, softshell, trousers and hats; SolarShield UV sun protection on trousers and the long-sleeved shirts; AquaDry waterproof and breathable technology in the three jacket options and ThermoPro high loft synthetic insulation in the insulated jacket and vest.

All styles carry subtle Craghoppers mouflon branding and are very easy for personalisation through embroidery, vinyl, screen or transfer.

Craghoppers Expert will be supported with a new website, deep stock holding in UK and European distribution centres, a new sales team backed by sister company Regatta Professional and strong marketing support.

The brand will continue to be distributed by long-standing partners: Ralawise, PenCarrie and Prestige in the UK, as well as distributors across Europe.
