Major software upgrades introduced by Graphtec GB

FXC2000 flatbed

Following a worldwide agreement between Graphtec Corporation and software specialist SAi, all Graphtec cutters supplied to the UK and Ireland sign and graphics, print service providers, digital printing and printwear and promotional products sectors by Graphtec GB will now be available with a choice of three newly created software packages.

Based on the hugely popular FlexiSIGN family of design and production software, they comprise the Graphtec Pro Studio, Graphtec Pro Studio Plus and Cutting Master 4 programs.

This means owners of Graphtec cutters will now have free access to a choice of new software options. These are compatible with 30 different popular file formats (including AI, CMX, EPS and DXF) and supported by the latest Version 6 of Graphtec’s proprietary ARMS (Automatic Registration Mark Sensing) system for optimum cutting accuracy.

Graphtec Pro Studio now offers a vast range of options when creating original designs. In addition to basic tool functions, these include more advanced functions such as shape editing and auto trace and weld. Key features include automatic registration mark creation, tiling, an ability to create multiple copies of the same object for cutting, the addition of weed and border lines, tool assignment and condition settings (including cutting force and speed) and template creation for rhinestone production.

Graphtec Pro Studio Plus represents an even more comprehensive offering, with a host of new tools. These include smart nesting for designs that are larger than the substrate to which they are being applied, resulting in maximised material usage and savings in production costs.

Cutting Master 4 is available as a plug-in option for Adobe Illustrator and CorelDRAW graphics suites. It enables users to drive the cutter with minimum input as well as improving production efficiency.
