Madeira is delighted to introduce two new additions to the thread range, REFLECT-T50 and FROSTED MATT 30. REFLECT-T50 is a decorative polyester thread with a special layer of glass micro-spheres designed to reflect when illuminated by a light source. The ideal choice for highlighting areas within a design on sportswear, schoolwear and safetywear etc. to enhance visibility in the dark.
To complement the eye-catching FROSTED MATT 40 range, 96 of the light-fast colours have now been produced in a slightly thicker 30 weight thread. FROSTED MATT 30 works exceptionally well to cover 3D foam for raised embroideries and for filling large surface areas or backgrounds. The distinctive matt effect finish offers high definition making it a popular choice across all market sectors.
Madeira stocks a variety of tear-away and cut-away backings to ensure garments remain supported throughout the embroidery process. Don’t be tempted to skimp on backing, selecting a good quality backing will prevent the design from distorting, the fabric from puckering and will make a huge difference to the outcome of your embroidery. To help you save precious time, we now offer an in-house bespoke cutting service. Squares or rectangles are accurately machine cut to the dimensions you choose, allowing you to maximise your embroidery output.
