GS UK under new ownership

Nottingham-based garment decoration supplier GS UK has been acquired by Robert De Regge.

Mr De Regge is an ex-group CEO with global expertise in sales, marketing and manufacturing. For the past 12 years he has been working as an international change manager turning around companies in a global environment (Europe, UK, Asia and the Americas) for private equity providers, large industrial conglomerates and family owned companies.

While completing work as a consultant for Summa, the previous GS owners, Mr De Regge encountered the company. Impressed by the highly experienced and knowledgeable staff along with the diverse product range, he aims to continue the company’s growth within the UK textiles market and build on the company’s strong foundations.

Mr De Regge said: “The acquisition of GS UK is an excellent addition to our portfolio of existing companies and I look forward to developing the business further.”

GS UK, which supplies Merlin and Brother embroidery machines, Brother direct to garment printers and CadCam Laser Cutters will continue to operate from its Nottingham headquarters. As the UK distributor for Gunold threads and consumables, along with its role as a Brother sewing machine dealer, GS UK will continue to offer the same high level of service to all customers.
