FREEStyler computer to screen gets new options

EXILE FREEStyler

EXILE’s FREEStyler revolutionises the screen making process by using a digital imaging process to output an image stencil directly on to a screen coated with standard emulsions. FREEStyler eliminates the need for film positives and ensures accurate digital registration from computer to press.

Almost no previous pre-press knowledge is required as the included SCREENMAKER RIP already incorporates optimised settings for processing colour separations and outputting screen halftones.

SCREENMAKER RIP also provides fully automatic image positioning and placement into standard pre-defined or user defined templates for different types of job.

There are two versions of the FREEStyler to support Screen frame sizes up to 105x66cm wide, with a generous 73.5x51cm printable area.

The standard FREEStyler models include a tri-loc compatible three point mechanical registration system to ensure screens are always mounted in the same position when used with the SCREENMAKER RIP’s digital registration this ensures that separations are always positioned accurately and in register.

There is also a FREEStyler MHM option which incorporates the same MHM pin registration system that is available on EXILE’s flagship SPYDER II computer to screen system. The system is fully compatible with MHM’s pin registration system which means that press set up times can be virtually eliminated. The system is fully automatic and is operated via foot pedal operation allowing for fast screen loading and unloading.

To complement the FREEStyler customers can also add the EXPOSE-DTS Undercounter UV exposure system which uses state of the art UV LED technology to expose screen emulsions in a matter of seconds.

EXPOSE DTS uses special LED bulbs that have been optimized to deliver the correct wavelength for most types of Screen emulsion. These low cost, low power bulbs use much less electricity than conventional UV exposure systems and have a very long life span.

EXPOSE DTS supports screens up to 110x80cms. It also works as a tabletop stand for the FREEStyler computer to screen system. The footprint for both the FREEStyler and EXPOSE-DTS is only 130x95cm so that the combination can fit into smaller screen rooms.
