An account manager at EverythingBranded.co.uk handed Leicester City the Premier League trophy as the team beat Everton 3-1 at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

Leicester resident Steve Worthy won the Barclays #SpiritoftheGame competition and the prize was to hand the Premier League trophy to Leicester captain Wes Morgan after the game.

Mr Worthy said: “It’s what dreams are made of. It’s been an incredible experience so far and it’s only just starting. I couldn’t ever imagine I’d get the chance to do something like this.”

Paul Rowlett, managing director of EverythingBranded.co.uk, said: “Everyone here at EverythingBranded is really pleased that Steve was given this once in a life-time opportunity.

“Steve has supported Leicester through thick and thin so he really deserves this incredible experience.”

Steve entered the competition in support of his 97-year-old grandmother, Gladys Kenney, who had been a season ticket holder for many years. One of her first games was the 1949 FA Cup final but unfortunately couldn’t go to games this year due to illness.

Leicester legend Muzzy Izzet surprised Steve and his family with the Premier League trophy on Bank Holiday Monday as Tottenham Hotspur drew with Chelsea, handing the title to Leicester.
