Epson and Xpres announce exclusive new direct to garment printer

SureColor SC-F3000

Epson will release its new SureColor SC-F3000 direct to garment printer in the UK this summer, available exclusively from Xpres. Here we take a closer look at this new DTG printer set to grace the market.

The SureColor SC-F3000 is designed to appeal to T shirt printers with medium to high volume output that demand high-quality output and print flexibility for a variety of garments.

Garment decorators that demand high levels of accuracy, quick turnaround times, and the ability to produce customers’ complex designs on a variety of garments, will find that the SureColor SC-F3000 offers unerringly reliable production efficiency, at speed.

For the first time in its DTG line up, Epson has introduced its bulk ink solution, with compact 1.5-litre ink pouches that help lower the TCO and reduce downtime. To complement the intuitive, highly-durable design, Epson has introduced elements that will keep even the inexperienced user running more efficiently for longer, while keeping print quality and accuracy consistently high.

Key features include:

  • Easy installation.
  • A 4.3-inch touch panel with improved functionality.
  • New PrecisionCore μTFP10 industrial-level print heads.
  • Continuous ink supply system (CISS) with compact 1.5-litre ink pouches.
  • Ultra reliable production thanks to Auto Platen Gap adjustment with sensors to automatically detect garment surface height, for easy switching between T shirts, hoodies, tote bags, sweatshirts, etc.
  • Highly accurate print quality through new ink droplet placement technology.
  • Easy access for consumable replacement and routine maintenance.
  • Meets environmental standards EcoPassport (CPSIA) and GOTS.

Set to be priced at less than £40,000 and with production speeds of up to 60 T shirts per hour, the SC-F3000 offers lower running costs and reduced downtime representing exceptional value for decorators needing increased DTG production capacity.

Nikolaos Vardakastanis, DTG product manager, Epson Europe, said: “Listening to what businesses need fuels our innovation – and it’s this connection that helped shape the functionality and design of the SC-F3000. Not only have we made this DTG printer simple to operate, but the quality of output at such impressive speeds will make both economical and creative sense to many businesses looking to expand and control the quality of their end product.

“It’s important for us to provide peace of mind to our users and engender confidence each time they turn on the SC-F3000. This is achieved through Epson providing the complete end-to-end DTG printing solution: printer, inks, software and support.”

The new machine will be unveiled to the UK market later this summer through a number of launch events hosted by exclusive distributor, Xpres.

The SC-F3000 will sit alongside the Epson SC-F2100 in the Xpres DTG product range, which includes a variety of DTG-specific heat presses and pre-treatment machines, as well as printable clothing, such as organic cotton tees.
