Garment decorators across England can open their doors to the public once again, as the country enters Step 2 of Boris Johnson’s roadmap out of lockdown.
Non-essential retail, hairdressers and nail salons, and public buildings such as libraries opened up this morning.
Gyms and indoor swimming pools also reopened, as have most outdoor attractions such as zoos and theme parks.
People will also once again be able to enjoy a pint and a meal down the pub, as outdoor hospitality also reopened for business.
If infection cases continue to fall Step 3 will come into force on May 17. This will see the government ease restrictions on seeing friends and family. This means the legal restriction on meeting others outdoors will be lifted, while indoors the rule of six or two households will continue to apply.
