Demonstrating that adding DTG to a business can be beneficial is Sew Sublime of Banbury.

Sew Sublime was created 13 years ago from the dining room of Daren Wright and his wife Deanne. Over the years their business has grown quite significantly and now caters for the workwear, schoolwear and T shirt markets with a focus on ethics and quality. Their garments are decorated using embroidery machines, transfer and sublimation printer, and now, DTG printers – thanks to Your Embroidery Services Ltd.

The addition of DTG printing enables Sew Sublime to cater for personalisation, short run orders and urgent orders, as well as to compete in markets they couldn’t previously profitably access.

Daren explains: “I was a little sceptical about digital direct to garment printing because my belief was that the quality wasn’t very good and there were problems with white ink. When I attended Printwear & Promotion LIVE! I didn’t go with the intention of buying a DTG machine; however I met the Your Embroidery Services Ltd team (YES Ltd) and was blown away by what I saw.”

This trip was then proceeded with a visit to the YES Ltd showroom in Mansfield, where Daren was shown the DTG process by Mark from sales and Wayne a DTG technician. Daren then attended a one-to-one, one day training session where he brought along his own designs to try out.

He adds: “I was extremely impressed at the way the machine was so easy to use and the quality, and couldn’t wait to take delivery of my new DTG M2. When the DTG M2 was installed I was like a kid in a sweet shop and we got up and running extremely quickly. We’ve taken so many new jobs on in the past two weeks I might need another machine at this rate. Your Embroidery Services Ltd is a very professional company and I will use them again in the future; I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

“DTG was definitely the way to go for us. We have increased sales and we can be a lot more competitive now using this technology. It’s made such a difference to our business and we have covered the first six months leasing in the first few weeks.”
