Dimensions raises £15,000 for Cancer Research UK

Corporate and workwear supplier Dimensions has raised £15,000 for Cancer Research UK during between July 2015 and June 2016 through various fundraising activities.

These activities included auctions, bake sales, car washes and sponsored bicycle rides.

Wendy Cooper, secretary of Dimensions’ Social Committee, said: “Having joined the company part way through the fundraising year, I immediately wanted to get involved when I heard about the work that the team here were doing to support CRUK.

“The Social Committee meets regularly to share innovative ideas for fun ways to raise money and earlier this year we sent a few intrepid staff members to dance the night away with Peter Kay at his Birmingham ‘Dance for Life’ event, with staff sponsoring their colleagues to keep on the floor for the whole event.”

Funds raised will go towards Cancer Research UK’s research into over 200 types of cancer and its continuous work to beat the disease. The team at Dimensions hopes donation this will aid in bringing forward the day when all cancers are cured.
