David Luke supports the Great British Spring Clean

The Great British Spring Clean in Ardwick, Manchester

Manchester-based schoolwear supplier David Luke hosted an event on Thursday, March 2 to support the Great British Spring Clean.

The national event, which took place from March 3 to 5, was aimed at inspiring residents to get out and clean up their local communities.

The clean-up in Ardwick brought together more than 30 children from local schools, staff from David Luke and representatives from Manchester City Council.

The event was also jointly hosted by Keep Britain Tidy’s environmental education programme Eco-Schools, of which David Luke is a long-time partner.

David Luke’s managing director Kathryn Shuttleworth said: “Working with schools is important for us and so partnering with Eco-Schools is a great way to do this. We realise there is a litter problem in our local area and so by pulling together we hope we can do something towards solving it.”

David Luke is a champion of the litter topic, with its eco-uniform being made from recycled plastic bottles.
