Shoe Clamp
Shoe Clamp

As the appeal for embroidered items has grown over the years, so has the range of products that are consistently being presented to the embroiderer.

In addition to the standard left chest, and back of garment embroidery, it is also common place to see embroidery designs on ties, sleeves, cuffs, pockets, collars, socks and belts. Not to mention table cloths, babywear, shoes, football boots, bag flaps, interior design products and greetings cards. The type of embroidery frame chosen when embroidering an item can greatly influence the quality of the final stitching.

A recent addition to GS’s selection of frames is the Hoop Tech range. Hoop Tech has been supplying the embroidery industry with a broad range of products and services that help maximise both productivity and profits. These products were developed as a result of asking embroiderers what their embroidery challenges are, and then designing a product to meet those needs.

Hoop Tech Shoe Clamp

A single window specialty clamp designed for stitching on football boots. The clamps are built with high strength aluminium and are very heavy duty, the clamping pressure required to hold a stiff leather shoe while sewing over a machine sewing arm is extreme. The sewing fields on a shoe are limited by shoe size, design location and size of the sewing arm on the embroidery machines. The Shoe Clamp can be used to personalise football boots, running shoes, gym shoes, slippers, UGG boots and many more hard to hold items.

Hoop Tech Slimline 1 and 2

The Hoop Tech Slimline Clamp systems are the lowest profile clamping systems on the market. The Slimline clamp systems are easy to use with a single lever to open/close and lock the Clamp. The clamps mount directly to the machine drive bar for positive attachment and remains on the machine while loading and unloading. They automatically adjust to different fabric thicknesses and have the advantage of not leaving any ‘hoop marks’ on the embroidered item. They are the perfect choice for embroidering difficult to hoop items such as bags, Christmas stockings, and blankets etc.

If the correct embroidery frame is not chosen then the whole embroidery process can be a very frustrating one, resulting in low quality embroidery because the garment/item is not being help in place correctly when stitching occurs. Another versatile and specialist framing system are Fast Frames. When combined with Filmoplast backing from GS UK, they offer enormous embroidery opportunities.

Fast Frames

This non-hoop embroidery frame system allows you to sew where you have never sewn before. The Fast Frames work in conjunction with Filmoplast, which is a self-adhesive, non-woven backing. The Filmoplast is stuck on the underside of the frame. The adhesive backing is exposed in the open embroidering area of the frame. Press the item to be embroidered firmly down onto the sticky backing. There are notches on the frames which can be used as a reference points for alignment purposes. Any product that can be laid down flat in the sewing area can be embroidered.

A number of different fast frame options are available for different requirements, including: 7 in 1 Fast Frame Kit, Name Tape Fast Frame Kit and Dog Collar and Karate Belt Fast Frame Kit.
