5* London hotel supports UK manufacturer

The wine waiters uniform

In the heart of London’s fashionable Marylebone, The Landmark London is a 5* deluxe hotel which is renowned for its stunning glass-roofed, eight-storey atrium with towering palm trees and award-winning restaurant. The hotel boasts luxurious bedrooms and an indoor pool and spa.

The Landmark London opened its doors in July 1899 when rooms cost a mere three-and-sixpence a night and today, it is a three-time winner of the Best Hotel in London. This was achieved by offering a world class personable service in a luxurious surrounding. The hotel was designed around a vast, glass-roofed courtyard which allows light and air into all the exquisite bedrooms and also provides a unique and extremely dramatic entrance that has awed guests for over a century.

First Corporate Clothing is proud to be working in partnership with The Landmark London on the team’s uniform requirements, which range from banqueting through to housekeeping, as well as amazing wine waiters wardrobe. As a UK designer and manufacturer of tailored workplace clothing, the First Corporate Clothing team was thrilled to be awarded such a prestigious opportunity.

A prestigious opportunity

First Corporate Clothing is based in Port Talbot, South Wales. Its entire operation is under one roof which allows the team to offer an unrivalled service. On site is the company’s sales and administration functions as well as the factory, design and sample room and embroidery department. In support of all of these functions the company has four warehouses to hold and dispatch its products. The team is so pleased to continue to support UK manufacturing and has the ability to offer a bespoke design and manufacture service from as little as 50 pieces per style. First Corporate Clothing also offers a customisation service whereby it can make minor alterations to stock garments to incorporate a customer’s branding with no minimum order commitments. Customisation can be anything from button changes and contrast colour button holes through to saddle stitching.

In 2017, First Corporate Clothing designed and manufactured a bespoke maids dress for The Landmark’s housekeeping team as well as their wine waiters’ new uniform. The team is in the process of rolling out the new Grand Central coffee bar uniforms where the investment has been made in developing an on trend double breasted waistcoat made in a fine fabric.

Over the last year and a half the team at First Corporate Clothing and The Landmark London have been working on the new Winter Gardens uniform. It is essential that every element of this uniform is absolutely perfect. The team is currently in the final throes of sampling this unique uniform and they cannot wait to present the uniform to the Winter Garden team – it will be surely worth the wait.
