Why you should visit The Schoolwear Show

WturnersHR-292The Schoolwear Show will take place at The Cranmore Park Conference & Event Centre in Solihull from October 9 to 11. The show promises new exhibitors and an improved atmosphere for visitors.

The organisers of The Schoolwear Show were delighted with the response to the changed layout at the 2015 show and have continued with further changes to improve the atmosphere for both exhibitors and attendees.

The show will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year. It was founded by five of the leading companies which supply the schoolwear industry; William Turner, David Luke, Rowlinson, Gymphlex and Banner. The directors of these businesses continue to organise the show to this day and are very supportive of the Schoolwear Association, which is known as the voice of the industry. They also work closely with its media partner the CWB magazine.

Exhibitors

This year sees exhibitors from last year returning together with new exhibitors showing for the first time; Tie and Scarf Company, Candy Bows, Makura, Prestige Schoolwear, PenCarrie and Result Clothing. This is in addition to the regular names that you will already know.

The show boasts a great selection of suppliers to the industry not only on school daywear but also in sportswear too. The opening of more academies and with schools changing status has meant that there is an increase in the number of schools reviewing their uniforms policies so The Schoolwear Show is as important as ever to see what is available in the market, as well giving you the opportunity to catch up with what is happening within the industry and generally take advantage of the networking opportunities that present themselves over the three days.

Opportunities

Apart from visiting the suppliers’ stands there is also the opportunity to attend either or both the seminars being hosted by the Schoolwear Association the first one on Guidelines takes place at 9.30am on Sunday and second on The Tendering Process at 9.30am on Monday. These are really informative and topical issues currently.

This year’s main fundraising for the Schoolwear Association is an 80s themed evening which includes a dinner and dancing at the Village Hotel on the Sunday night. These events have a great reputation for being a really memorable and enjoyable evening which should not be missed.
