School uniform supplier Trutex has been ranked in the Sunday Times HSBC International 200 league table showing private companies with fastest growing international sales.
The Clitheroe, Lancashire, based company has been placed at number 32 on the list after a boost in demand from the Middle East.
Trutex has seen overseas sales hit £1.9m in the year to January 2017 following orders from the Qatar Foundation, Dubai and Abu Dhabi where its bespoke British style uniforms are proving popular.
Established in 1965 as the Clitheroe Shirting Company, Trutex is now owned by the management team which bought the business from private equity firm Endless in 2014.
Managing director, Matthew Easter, said: “Our heritage for quality in providing the very highest standards of schoolwear has given us a leading edge in this very competitive market.
“We are constantly driving the business forward and looking to capture new sales. Being based in Clitheroe is proving no boundary to success in the international market.
“I thank our staff for their hard work in achievement this recognition and look forward to continued growth.”
