The rise of the machines

Roy and John-Paul Burton

SWF embroidery machines were first introduced to this market by Your Embroidery Services Ltd (YES Ltd) only approximately 20 years ago.

In that time, they have gone from little known to one of the leading manufacturers in the world. The development that took place during that period was outstanding and represented a uniqueness not seen for quite a while in this industry.

Undoubtedly the key one was the launch of the unique Dual Function machines, still the only machine in the world capable of embroidering two different patterns and/or products at the same time. When you are as successful as SWF you are likely to generate interest in all sorts of areas and not just in the target market. One company that showed enormous interest was the global engineering company Mobase. Always on the lookout for innovative manufacturers they noticed SWF Sunstar during 2015 and eventually acquired the company in spring 2016.

Unlike many global companies, Mobase acquires other businesses to develop them and this was the case with SWF. Even though the SWF brand was already a market leader they saw massive potential for further development and expansion of the range thus cementing SWF’s position in the market. The investment that followed meant that research and development could move at a faster pace releasing new product and developments to the market in a shorter time. SWF, of course, was successful before Mobase came on the scene but have undoubtedly seen even more success since the takeover.

This can be seen in a recent Global Embroidery Machine Market Report which shows SWF as one of the market leaders. The report examines the current market and the expectations through to 2023 and lists SWF as one of the key players. You can read a section of the report here.

This, of course, won’t come as much of a surprise to current SWF users who have experienced first-hand the high quality of the machines and the support offered by YES Ltd. For those of you yet to sample the delights of this manufacturer check out the full range here.

With SWF you have the comfort of knowing that your machine is supported, not only at local level by YES Ltd, but also at global level by one of the biggest technology and engineering companies in the world.
