Sign & Digital UK (SDUK), the leading event for the display and sign industry returns to Birmingham’s NEC from April 24 to 26. This year’s show promises an interactive and hands-on experience for visitors, under the theme of creativity brought to life.

The SDUK team has assembled an impressive line-up of industry experts set to deliver inspiring keynote talks and lively panel debates, as well as interactive workshops and demonstrations. Headlining this year’s event is special guest speaker and retail expert Mary Portas – also known as Mary, Queen of Shops.

Top industry exhibitors at the event will showcase a range of the latest products, services and technologies, including those for garment decoration, embroidery, dye sublimation, heat transfer and direct to garment printing.

Throughout the three-day show, visitors will have the opportunity to make lasting business connections and have their trade questions answered by industry experts from more than 180 leading suppliers.

Guest speaker and celebrity retail consultant, Mary Portas, will chair an opening-day Q&A session to offer SDUK visitors advice on diversifying their business and opening up new revenue streams to get ahead of the competition.

Show highlights

Sign & Digital UK is an essential and informative day out for visitors looking to discover new technologies and meet experts in their field. Leading brands confirmed to exhibit at the 2018 show include Antalis, Spandex, Ultima Displays, CMYUK, Epson, Roland DG, R.A Smart and William Smith Group.

PureImage, Aeoon Technologies and Impuls Apparatebau are among the first-time exhibitors set to join Sign & Digital UK this year and CADlink has already announced it will showcase the newly updated Digital Factory RIP printing software, featuring direct-to-garment editions, on stand E42.

In one of three new demonstration areas at the show, The Textile Live Demo run in partnership with Hybrid Services, will respond to the design industry’s ever-increasing interest in textile printing by inviting SDUK visitors to their interactive digital production workshop, where they can try their hand at printing personalised textiles.

Under the show theme of creativity brought to life, SDUK 2018 will deliver a creativity-fuelled three days, which will see seminars focus on a range of topics – from dye sublimation to interior décor.

For the first time, the main stage will be attached to a TV studio creating a fast-paced, high-energy atmosphere. Visitors will hear from creative industry innovators in a series of keynote talks, seminars and panel debates.

As well as Mary Portas’ headline Q&A a series of new practical sessions, Sign & Digital Explains, is set to shake up the workshop schedule this year by exploring a range of topics including Textiles & Textile Printing, Wall Décor and Dye Sublimation and Heat Transfer for Giftware and Promotional Items.

Two sessions on Wall Décor will see experts discussing the practical applications for interior decoration and wall graphics. They will introduce delegates to best practices when working with a client: from brief to design, production and installation. The Décor Live feature demonstration, run in partnership with Antalis, will allow visitors to watch the experts and learn some valuable new skills which will illustrate practical ideas and applications for all digital décor scenarios.

In addition, the Spandex team will show visitors how to apply the latest and greatest materials in an energetic Vehicle Wrapping Live demonstration.
