Clothing brand Regatta has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2012. This is one of the UK’s most prestigious accolades for performance in business in the UK and overseas.
Announced on the Queen’s birthday, April 21st, the award acknowledges the outstanding achievement of Regatta and Dare 2b in International trade. This has been a result of continuous improvement in export sales growth, resulting in 152% growth over six years. The award also recognises the company’s investment in its staff.
Keith Black, chairman of Regatta said: “It is a great achievement and we are very proud to receive this award. This illustrates the hard work and commitment of all Regatta and Dare 2b employees across the UK and Europe.”
The company exports to more than 45 countries worldwide which accounts for over 40% of its turnover.
It has dedicated sales offices in Eire, France, Belgium, Germany, Holland, Spain, Poland, Italy, Finland, Czech Republic and Israel and is expanding into Russia and the US.
