Beechfield sponsors golf pro Tom Jones
Published:  15 September, 2010

Beechfield, the promotional headwear brand, is now sponsoring up and coming golf professional, Tom Jones and as part of the deal, the 20 year-old will sport a variety of the brand’s logoed headgear at tournaments and practice days.

Jones, who turned professional at the end of 2009, entered the sponsorship agreement before playing in his first big televised pro tournament in August (the William Hunt Trilby Tour, shown on Sky Sports 2).

“We’re delighted to become involved with Tom at the start of what promises to be a highly successful career,” says Roger McHugh, Beechfield’s managing director, who is backing Jones to make an impact on the European Tour within the next few years.

“We are equally delighted that Tom has endorsed Beechfield’s golf headwear styles and will be wearing them at European professional tournaments. This will raise the brand’s profile in the golf world, and serve to underline the quality of the Beechfield products and their suitability for use at the highest levels of the game. This can only help our customers to grow their sales of Beechfield headwear for corporate golf days and promotions,” he adds.

Tom has included three Beechfield performance headwear styles in his competition day wardrobe – the B185 Pro-Style Ball Mark Golf Cap, plus two new styles for 2010; the B186 Tactel Performance Cap, and B447 Thinsulate Knitted Hat.

Golfer Tom Jones will be championing Beechfield headwear.

“The B185 looks really smart. I have it in a variety of colours and it always complements whatever else I am wearing. The magnetic ball mark on the peak is very handy and makes life easier during play,” Jones comments.

He continues: “It’s very important to stay dry during practice sessions and tournaments on wet days and the B186 is brilliant for that. Similarly, the B447 helps to keep me warm during the winter, especially during long practice sessions – it does the job really well.”
