The jog pants have been styled to complement Fruit of the Loom’s popular cotton/elastane Lady-Fit Ts, allowing the company’s customers to present a great value sporty outfit that’s made for women with active lifestyles. They also lend themselves well to cross selling with the men’s Elasticated Jog Pants and, in particular, Open Hem Jog Pants.

The Lady-Fit style is made from a new 75% cotton/25% polyester (280 gm/m2) fabric. This features 100% cotton facing, to eliminate pilling and provide a superb surface for print, and is unbrushed, making it a better, more comfortable choice for both indoor and outdoor fitness activities.

“The unbrushed fabric is extra soft and less ‘bulky’ than traditional brushed ‘sweat’ fabrics. It drapes beautifully, giving a slimmer silhouette and accentuating the garment’s feminine fit,” says Alison McKenzie, brand director.

Alison continues: “The new design is more than just an update of our previous Lady-Fit Jog Pants. The jog pants are cut for a more flattering fit and they feature a fashionable deep waistband and open cuffs for a modern, athletic appearance.”

Other design features include a self-coloured herringbone draw cord to the 2x1 rib waistband, and twin-needle stitching detail on the hem. The Lady-Fit Jog Pants come in black, deep navy and white – and sizes XS-XL.

The Fruit of the Loom Lady-Fit Ts are the perfect partners for the Lady-Fit Jog Pants. Made from stretchy 95% cotton/5% elastane (200/210 gm/m2) jersey fabric, they have shaped side seams for a comfortable, figure-hugging fit and are cut longer to sit below waist height.

“The longer body length ensures that the shirts will appeal to women of all ages and sizes, and self-fabric binding to the neckline, (and armholes on the Sleeveless T), adds to the overall quality feel,” notes Alison McKenzie.

There are four Lady-Fit T styles to choose from: the Crew Neck T, V Neck T, Long Sleeve Crew Neck T and Sleeveless T. The short sleeve Crew Neck T is the most popular option for health and fitness wear. It comes in a choice of 14 contemporary colours and sizes XS-XXL.

The men’s Elasticated Jog Pants and Open Hem Jog Pants are made from 80% cotton/20% polyester brushed fleece fabric featuring quality-guaranteed Belcoro yarns. The brushed fabric complements the garments’ more masculine cut. Both styles have an elasticated waist with self-coloured draw cord, plus side pockets. As their names suggest, the Elasticated Jog Pants have an elasticated hem, whereas the Open Hem Jog Pants have an open hem that more closely matches the new Lady-Fit Jog Pants’ fashionable styling. Both men’s jog pants come in a choice of black, heather grey and, new for 2010, deep navy. They are available in sizes S-XXL.
