Fruit of the Loom’s College Jacket and Windbreaker and the company’s Outdoor Fleece styles are great value choices for any motorsport promotion.
The College Jacket and Windbreaker offer maximum value for volume outerwear customers. The garments are competitively priced yet finished to an impressively high standard. For example, all trims, including zips, eyelets and drawcords, are precisely colour-matched. The jackets’ shower-resistant 100% nylon 210T outer shell, (74 gm/m2) has also been extensively tested for use with the leading screen printing inks for nylon fabrics.
Both styles feature drawcords to the hood and waist, two jetted front pockets and a collar containing a concealed nylon hood. The Windbreaker’s collar is fastened using Velcro fastenings, while the College Jacket employs stud fastenings. The College jacket also features a stormflap covering the front zip, and 65% polyester/35% cotton (150 gm/m2) lining for extra comfort and insulation on colder days. (The lining opens easily to provide access for printing and embroidery).
The jackets are available in sizes S-XXL and six colours – black, bottle green, bright orange, bright yellow, navy and red.
“The College jacket and Windbreaker are designed as lightweight jackets that are easy to carry around. They pack down to a small size and can be stowed in rucksacks or day bags. The shower-resistant nylon shell makes them ideal for wet or changeable weather. The fabric is also fully printable and the jackets provide lots of uninterrupted space for bold, attention grabbing logos and graphics,” says Alison McKenzie, brand director.
The Fruit of the Loom Full Zip and Half Zip Fleece are proven performers in the promotions market. Their 300 gsm 100% polyester pill-resistant, breathable fleece provides a comfortable, warmer alternative to the College jacket and Windbreaker on cold, dry days. The jackets’ classic cut ensures all-day comfort, while the seam-free front ensures maximum scope and flexibility for memorable branding.
The garments feature attractive cover-stitching detail to the hem and shoulder seams, and self-coloured zips to the front opening and two front pockets. The Half Zip Fleece is available in six colours – black, bottle green, deep navy, red, royal blue and smoke (the smoke fabric comprises 75% polyester/25% viscose).
The Full Zip Fleece is available in the same colour palette, plus bright orange and bright yellow. Both jackets come in sizes from S-XXL.
Fruit of the Loom says that black and red are especially popular colours with motor sports customers, but the company adds that the bright orange and bright yellow are becoming increasingly popular in this sector of the promotional wear market.
“The ‘Brights’ are not intended to be used as safety wear and do not include retro-reflective tapes or detailing. However, the colours are highly visible and stand out strongly in a crowd. They are good choices for those members of staff at race circuits who are working in areas away from moving vehicles, and also for promotional customers that want to ensure their message is impossible to overlook,” Alison McKenzie explains.
