T shirts are the primary focus of Fruit of the Loom’s new product development for 2010. The company is launching two men’s Ts and two children’s Ts, in addition to a new Lady-Fit Jog Pants.
The T shirts are knitted from 100% cotton Belcoro certified yarns (spun in Fruit of the Loom’s state of the art Moroccan factory), for a softer feel and cleaner printing process.
Brand director, Alison McKenzie, comments: “Fruit of the Loom is ‘Keeping it Simple’ in 2010, by concentrating on the products that our customers know and trust to win them business.”
The new Fitted Valueweight T has a shorter body length compared with the Classic Valueweight T, and side seams for a more fitted shape. A narrow neckline without topstitching provides a clean retail finish, while the cotton/Lycra rib crew neck with taping affords superior comfort and shape retention. Sizes are S-XXL and the eight colours include charcoal – a new vintage look colour for 2010.
The new Heavy Pocket T (185/195 gm/m2) is notable for its self-fabric chest pocket. Fruit of the Loom expects the T shirt to have maximum appeal in the workwear market. It has a rib crew neck with taping for comfort and is available in five classic corporate colours. Sizes are S-XXL.
The new Girls Valueweight T comes in eight colours and sizes from three to four years to 14-15. It has a cotton/Lycra rib crew neck and features shorter sleeves, a smaller collar and side seams with waist shaping.
The Kids’ Long Sleeve Valueweight T features set-in sleeves and cotton/Lycra ribbed cuffs and crew neck. It comes in five colours and sizes three to four years to 14-15.
The new Lady-Fit Jog Pants are shaped for comfort and fit and are made from unbrushed 75% cotton/25% polyester (280 gm/m2) fabric. Features include a deep, 2x1 rib waistband with self-coloured herringbone draw cord, and open cuffs with twin needle stitching detail on the hem. They are available in three colours, and sizes XS-XL.
