Focus is on design and customisation

International Insignia is different to most promotional clothing companies in that they decided early in their development to focus on headwear, rather than offering the full range of promotional garments, although they are pleased to supply other garments when required.

This policy has served the Wolverhampton-based company well. "We invest heavily in the design of our ranges," said a spokesman. "Caps have evolved and our customers are looking for the latest fabrics and features as well as for the classic styles for which we have always been known.

"Our fleece lined Peruvian ski hats have been hugely popular this year and we have made many customised designs for our customers using a variety of colour combinations. Our customers have come to realise that, if they are looking for something a little out of the ordinary, we can usually help."

Following last year's success, International Insignia's (MC07m) heavy brushed cotton cap with a magnet in the peak for a golf ball marker has continued to be a success in the golf market.

This style lends itself very well to decoration on both the front of the cap and the marker and it commands a premium price at retail owing to its popularity. International Insignia are able to offer custom enamel ball markers to accompany the MC07m cap.
