The right impression makes all the difference in the hospitality trade. Very much like the surroundings and décor, the staff uniform or dress code can speak volumes about the style and sort of establishment itself.
Bars, bistros and cafes not only have a very different staff uniform expectation from their fine dining cousins, but also vary tremendously within their own sector. The most popular choice for the more informal hospitality sector is the black T shirt that, if chosen correctly, can suit all ages, sexes, shapes and sizes. The black T is far from humble; it's also the base of choice for many an upmarket hotel group, for many a chain of trendy café bars as well as waiting staff across the country.
So what makes a black (or indeed any other colour) T perfect for hospitality wear? First of all, it needs to be practical and easy to care for. Secondly, and certainly a point not to be underestimated, it needs to look the part. Baggy unisex T's just don't cut the mustard and have a tendency to look rather untidy. This probably isn't the look that a well run and organized unit would be looking for! We suggest looking at the Skinnifit and Skinnifitmen Modern Essential T (SK and SF101). Already market leaders in the stretch T shirt sector, these garments are still proving to have the look and the fit which people are after. The garments are slim fitting but not tight; and are shaped to fit. The women's T is also now available in a size XXL which means even more of the population can be successfully kitted out in Skinnifit.
There's 4% elastane in these Ts; enough to mean the wearer can feel comfortable in their T, and indeed for the garment to keep its shape for longer, but not so much as to cause problems for the embroiderer or printer. These garments have sold in their tens of thousands so you can be assured of a great performance and reception.
However, for something different and a little bit chic, why not look at the Skinnifit for women wrap top (style ref SK109) which offers a touch of sophistication while retaining the basis premise of being a black T. It's made from the same fabric as the Modern Essential Ts, but has a mock wrap front with a V finish, and long sleeves. The fact it's made in the same fabric allows the customer to present this women's garment alongside a Modern Essential T for men and be sure that the result will look cohesive and matching.
And for those seeking a corporate bottom half, then the look is over! Skinnifit and skinnifitmen now both have a plain black cotton elastane trouser with a modern cut, which is perfect when presenting a head to toe uniform appeal. The women's trousers has a lower waistband, flat front and front welt pockets, whereas the men's garment has side pockets but also features a flat front styling.
