"Our Fleece Jackets are already big sellers in the workwear market and the expansion of the colour palette to include the new bright options will only increase their saleability in this sector," Alison McKenzie, brand director, explains.

Alison stresses that the Full Zip Fleece and Sleeveless Fleece are not being marketed as specialist hi-vis safetywear for people working in and around traffic, as they contain no reflective taping.

"The garments are designed to enhance the visibility of as broad a range of workers as possible under normal working conditions. For example, making garden centre workers more visible makes it easier for customers to quickly identify a member of staff when they require advice or assistance. The brightness of the fabric is impressive and we would encourage decorators to obtain samples to demonstrate the visibility advantages to customers at first hand," she comments.

"Just as importantly, these advantages are now affordable for any business - the jackets share the same competitive pricing as a standard Fruit of the Loom fleece."

The Fleece jacket styles, which also include the Half Zip Fleece, are made from Fruit of the Loom's proven 100% polyester pill-resistant fleece, (300 gm/m2), which is both durable and easy to decorate.

The Full and Half Zip Fleece jackets were improved and updated for 2009. Now with raglan sleeve styling they no longer have the waist-height seam that was found on previous versions. The change offers a more contemporary appearance and the maximum uninterrupted area for embellishment.

Bottle green and deep navy have been added to both Fleece jackets in 2009. The Full Zip Fleece is now available in eight colours and the Half Zip Fleece in six.

The new Sleeveless Fleece shares the jackets' raglan sleeve styling and contemporary design. It also is targeted at the workwear market, meeting the needs of workers that require a warm, breathable outer layer that allows freedom of movement and is comfortable to wear all day, especially when moving between indoor and outdoor workspaces.

The new style comes in six colours drawn from the Full Zip Fleece's colour palette, including the four new additions. All Fleece styles are available in sizes from S-XXL.
