From the included computer and workstation to the complete startup kit, M&R's i-Dot comes with nearly everything you need to get started in digital textile printing. In no time at all, you'll be turning out amazingly sharp text and line art with exceptional blending and photographic transitions.
i-Dot comes with a 36 x 52 cm (14" x 20.5") pallet but can print images up to 41 x 51 cm (16" x 20") on 100% cotton, 50/50 cotton blend, and some polyester fabrics.
i-Dot's phenomenal image quality and ink-saver capability is made possible by M&R's exclusive Absolute Position Technology (APT) and i-Color RIP Software. i-Dot's laser-guided substrate placement helps ensure images are correctly positioned.
i-Dot's startup kit includes a full set of i-Pak ink cartridges. The kit also includes eight i-Clean cartridges for printhead flushing; i-Prep fabric pre-treatment for dark and colored garments; i-Tack pallet adhesive; and i-Clean solution for cleaning individual printheads.
M&R's exclusive Absolute Position Technology (APT) gives i-Dot a level of repeat registration not found in any other digital textile printer. While most printers rely on low-resolution encoders, APT uses M&R's proprietary high-resolution servo encoder.
This enables i-Dot to print multiple layers of ink on dark and colored shirts with unmatched layer-to-layer accuracy. When registration matters, i-Dot's APT is the technology that professionals rely on. No other digital textile printer even comes close.
M&R's proprietary i-Color RIP software quickly converts data files into printed images with maximum sharpness and exceptional color accuracy while minimizing print time.
i-Dot can print images in nine file formats (jpg, psd, tiff, png, tga, gif, bmp, pcx, dib). i-Color even recognizes and preserves Photoshop channels for creating transparencies and highlights in your artwork.
In addition, i-Color RIP precisely calculates the need for white underbase when printing on black garments. Since i-Color RIP recognizes black areas in the image file, it prevents the printheads from laying down a base of white in those areas and then printing over the white with black ink.
This can substantially reduce the consumption of white and black ink; significantly increase print speed; and provide superior shading and gradations.
Since trouble-free computer operation is essential to successful direct-to-garment printing, M&R decided to make a computer part of the i-Dot package. And as each computer comes with all the software necessary to operate the i-Dot, users don't have to load or configure system software, much less resolve hardware or software conflicts.
