Developed with the style-conscious in mind, the intelligent clothing range has been designed for people who are outdoors come rain or shine. The jackets also come in male and female styles, with a strong range of team colours.

There are also three, easily identifiable categories: Entry Level, Softshell and Sportshell and Technically Advanced.

Entry Level

Made from high quality breathable, waterproof fabrics these jackets have critically taped seams. Stylish and lightweight, they're ideal for someone who's on the move all day in and outdoors.

The 500M Hydra-Shell 2000 is the only jacket in the range only available in a men's style. With a modern fit and matt finish it it is waterproof to 2000mm and fully breathable. It is also fully lined with concealed decoration access at the hem.

One level up from this is the popular 510M/F Hydraplus 2000 in a true active fit with articulated elbows and raglan sleeves.

Advanced features include storm flap for rain channel, reversed zips, soft inner collar and internal technology pocket.

Again, it is fully lined with discrete decoration access at the hem. Fully breathable, windproof and waterproof to 2000mm with critically taped seams, the jacket is an ideal fit for and was an outstanding success recently for volunteers at the Badminton Horse Trials.

Soft Shell and Sports Shell

These are the most synergistic jackets Russell say they have. Made from waterproof and breathable fabrics with an active and stylish look, they adapt perfectly to the wearers level of activity.

The 140M/F/B Soft Shell range was one of the first to market three years ago and has male and female styles as well as jackets and gilets. Breathable and water resistant to 5000mm, features such as zip garages (a section of fabric covering the tip of the zip and preventing water entering) and adjustable cuffs enable the wearer to stay dry and comfortable. This year, these garments are also available in childrens sizes and being fully launderable, they are ideal outerwear garments for schools, with specific interest being paid to them as blazer alternatives. For high activity, the stretch fabric 520M/F Sports Shell 5000 in male and female styles is perfect. The fabric developed from the 140 range, being more flexible and softer to touch. The ergonomic shape creates a microclimate for maximum thermoregulation and moisture management. It also allows maximum body response, with articulated elbows and cool fit underarm panels.

The 520 jackets have extra touches such as an MP3 inner pocket, two position adjustable cuffs and sealed laser cut pockets on the sleeve and chest creating a waterproof environment for important documents/items. They also come in a range of team colours.

Technically Advanced

Their most Technically Advanced jackets to date include the highest level of windproof, waterproof and breathable jackets. The 550 Gore-Tex is perfect for those who really need to leave a lasting impression.

Versatile and interactive layers such as the 540M/F Sports Tech 10000 and 530M/F Thermolayer Interactive Jacket give optimal protection against rain and cold all year round.

The 540M/F has fully taped seams and an advanced 3-layer fabric for the most waterproof yet breathable jacket. With its ergonomic shape, this jacket has been engineered for high activity; supported by articulated elbow, underarm pit zips and 2 position adjustable cuffs.

The 13-piece hood has 3-way adjustability to create the best fit, even when worn with a helmet and is designed to be rolled up when not in use.

Other features include outer and split-inner storm flaps; the outer one repelling the elements, the inner is split for flexibility and extra rain protection. The fabric is waterproof to 10000mm and comes in a variety of colours.

And for that lasting impression, the new 550M/F Gore-Tex provides your customers with the most durably waterproof, windproof and breathable garment available.

The 550 jackets have a contemporary fit and a host of advanced features. Not only is the jacket completely waterproof and breathable to Gore-Tex fabrics standards, but it has features such as adjustable cuffs, keeping cold or wet from entering, and articulated elbows, delivering optimized freedom of movement and comfort.

Furthermore, Gore-Tex fabrics are highly durable and simple to clean, either in a domestic washing machine, industrial laundry or by dry cleaning. Gore-Tex garments keeps their shape and they retain their waterproofness, including at the sealed seams.

Fleece - warmth without weight

Russell launched the improved version of their Outdoor Fleece, 8740/8740, this year; available for men and women. With a dense, compact pile this garment allows true warmth without all the bulk. The smoother surface means these garments can be decorated with your company's logo to promote a clean, sharp company image. The styling is modern with updated features such as reverse zippers, handwarmer pockets and sporty pulls. Available in a large size range, these fleece products are also available in a variety of company colours.

Also new is the Outdoor Fleece Gilet, 8720, for men and women. Again, the dense compact pile provides warmth yet movement and the colours support and match those of the Full Outdoor Fleece.

For a more streamlined look, Russell developed the Micro Fleece, 880/881/883, available in men and ladies and full or quarter zip. This intensely dense pile still provides the wearer with warmth yet is lighter and more flexible than other fleece. This is ideal for indoor or outdoor use.
