As a brand RTY has been known for the past 11 years or so as primarily a first and mid layer supplier of shirts, sweatshirts standard fleece and the like. That changed last year with the introduction of the first outdoor style in the form of RTY100 waterproof jacket. Insulated and fully taped it has been well received by the printwear trade.
Soft shells with their durable, polyester knit face fabric, PU membrane and warm fleecy back have become very much the buzz product as multi - functional performance outerwear.
They are inherently so highly water resistant, totally windproof and breathable, that they quite often do away with the need for an outer shell in all but the worst conditions. The RTY 101 Softshell fits very neatly into this category.
