Corporate clothing firm NKD Clothing has been commissioned to provide bespoke uniforms to the new Fraser Suites in Edinburgh and Glasgow, which have opened under the world-renowned Fraser Hospitality banner.
Fraser Suites is one of a number of recent business wins in the sector.
Gill Eastgate, managing director of the Edinburgh-based firm said: "We're delighted with these latest business wins despite the difficulties in the market. It shows that businesses like us and our clients are working extremely hard to overcome the effects of recession.
"Well-turned out staff don't just look better, they perform better and quality garments have a far longer life span then cheap alternatives. We're delighted that ethos chimes with companies like these."
The design team came up with a sophisticated black, mushroom and burgundy colour range to match Fraser Suites' classic branding. Front-of-house staff will wear black suits, mushroom shirts and burgundy ties and scarves, while housekeeping staff will wear black tunics with a contrast neckline in burgundy and embroidered with the company logo.
Jill Robertson, design project manager, said: "It was a pleasure to work with a brand as high profile and global as Fraser Suites. They wanted something to complement their existing branding, which is very striking, so we decided on a colour scheme that would marry the colours from Fraser Suites' branding.
"The results are fantastic and make a real statement of quality to all customers visiting the Fraser Suites in Edinburgh or Glasgow."
Gill Eastgate, added: "The hotel and serviced residence industry is a key market for us. We understand it is vitally important that staff look the part and convey the right image to customers.
"We have worked with some of the biggest names in the industry and with companies who have strong ideas about the part staff outfits play in their brand identity.
"That experience is hugely advantageous and allows us to come up with stylish designs which not only suit the image of the hotel but are also appealing to members of staff in terms of both comfort and style."
