On the clothing side, Okarma offer two T shirts for men and women, the OK10 and the OK11. The OK10 organic premium T shirt comes in a selection of vibrant and classic colours (white, sky blue, red, olive, navy, natural, black) and in sizes S-XXL, while the fitted OK11 comes in the same colours but replacing sky with pink. On the accessories side, the OK70 shopper tote is a great alternative to the plastic bag. The neutral colour makes it the ideal blank canvas for a message, logo or slogan.

Nicci Persey from Okarma says: "Since our launch two years ago, we've gone from strength to strength. Customers comment on the little details - small tonal Okarma logos on every garment, branded recycled swing tags - as well as the big ones - that buying Okarma actually makes a difference."                                  

Adding to the already successful organic cotton range, 2009 saw the release of two new products made from a revolutionary new fabric - polyester made from recycled plastic.

"We decided to launch a recycled range for a number of reasons", explains Nicci. "Organic cotton has taken the market by storm and we saw that it could be receptive to other ethically sound materials too. At Okarma we are constantly researching and developing new materials and ways of production, and the ‘reduce, re-use, recycle' mantra has been ingrained in our philosophy from the beginning. This just seemed like a natural progression".

There are two products available - the OK40, a cosy navy or black fleece, and the OK44, a handy shopper. Although the fleece is made from 44 plastic bottles, it's just as soft as those made from regular polyester. It's the ideal choice for outdoor pursuits companies, county councils or anyone with an ethical conscience.

The shopper, made from four plastic bottles, is perfect for marketing literature or for any opportunity where an alternative to a plastic bag is needed.

Nicci adds: "With these new products, you've got the added benefit that you're also directly contributing to reducing landfill waste".
