"It's the attention to detail which I find surprises and delights customers," says Papini's CEO Gary Fisher when describing his bespoke garments.
"There is, for example, the ‘texturised rubber badging' on the micro-fleece jackets, which I've not seen anywhere else, or the channels for MP3-player cables in the jackets."
Papini are based in Yorkshire where they have an in-house design facility, with manufacturing in China of garments such as polo shirts, sweatshirts, luxury fleeces and Aquatite performance jackets.
Recent successes include Formula One teams, high street retail chains, and some of the biggest names in communications, all supplied via corporatewear/promotions companies, or garment decorators. Papini can manufacture in both standard fabrics and in high-tech fabrics, such as the ‘moisture-management' fabric Papini-Dri, which uses a polyester honeycomb layer to draw moisture away from the skin.
The usual minimum per style is 500 pieces, with a lead-time of 12 weeks.
"We now have a new and impressive showroom in West Yorkshire, to which our customers can even bring their own clients. It's ideal for showing the level of detail and quality which we can achieve."
