Lighter fabrics and shapely styling for summer

Womenswear continues to be a growth area with many brands adding female styles to match their existing men's styles and sizes.

Fitted styles, long lengths and feminine fabrics and colours are in demand more and more.

Fashion conscious brand Mantis have added the MA103T organic women's sheer jersey tee to their 2009 range. This 100% organic combed cotton T shirt has gently shaped side seams, a fashionable long body length and is made from bio-recertified organic cotton from Africa. Sizes S to XL. Colours: bubble gum pink, black and white.

At this time of year more summer styles are sourced by customers. Skinnifit have tapped into this market adding three new vests to their 2009 range including the ST103 Modern Essential Tank (96% cotton, 4% elastane), single jersey vest. It has binding around the neck and armholes and has a rich fabric for comfort and shape retention.

Fruit of the Loom's SS94M lady-fit lightweight hooded T shirt is 100% cotton, 135gsm. It has a soft lightweight fabric and shaped side seams for a more contemporary fit and a self fabric hood with back neck tape and V front opening. Sizes XS to XL. The five colours include light pink and sky blue.

Polo shirts are also a staple part of the uniform market and Henbury's H306 Ladies Stretch Pique Polo adds to Prestige Leisure's already comprehensive range. This polo is 96% cotton 4% elastane stretch pique, with a flat knit collar and has a two button placket with dyed to match buttons. Sizes range from S to XL and 5 colours are available.

Russell Collection's 916F ladies long sleeve twill casual shirt is 100% cotton twill, peach finish, 130gsm. Shaped at the waist for a feminine silhouette it has matching herringbone tape along neck seam. Sizes XS to XXL. The seven corporate colours include zinc.

Finden+Hales have added to their teamwear this year with the LV621 ladies team softshell (97% polyester, 3% elastane) with TPU membrane and 300gsm.

It features zippered side pockets, zippered front welt chest pocket and adjustable cuff tabs. Sizes S to XL. Colours: black/red and navy/white.
