Goblin joins OYO's earlier Direct To Screen offering the Diablo.

Like Diablo, Goblin uses OYO's existing thermal print head technology to image a stencil onto a standard coated screen using a thermal transfer ribbon system.

The print head can image at 15 linear inches per minute, applying an image mask to conventionally coated screens in less than two minutes per frame, at up to 600 dpi resolution (1200 dpi for the Diablo).

The washable mask is applied with a thermal transfer process that eliminates the use of film, ink, toner, and chemicals.

Goblin accepts frame sizes commonly used in textile print shops, up to 23 x 31ins. The new system outputs a stencil directly onto a screen thereby removing the interim step of having to produce the film positive. Goblin uses OYO's patented 14ins wide 600dpi thermal print head for imaging up to 14ins wide onto frames sizes up to 23 x 31ins. Diablo uses an 18ins wide 1200dpi print head for wider format and higher resolution imaging onto frames sizes up to 25 x 36ins.

OYO also showcased its range of ThermoImpression® Imagesetters including the range topping Liberator XE model with the world's only 1200dpi thermal print head and up to 54ins wide imaging widths, offering up to 120lpi screen rulings.

From the cost effective smaller format TechStyler and TechSetter models to the larger format Liberator models, all OYO imagers output between 30-54 linear feet of film per hour, up to 10 times faster than an inkjet solution and with superior UV densities and screen rulings.
