    Schoolwear and garment importers and suppliers, Blue Max today announced the acquisition of the Stag Knitwear Company. The shares in Stag, owned by family interests, were acquired outright for an undisclosed sum.

    The merger of Lea Sportswear Ltd and Solutions Apparel Ltd is now complete. The Bristol offices of Solutions Apparel have closed and all company operations are now based at Lea Sportswear’s headquarters at Exeter.

    The Magic Touch has launched the latest in ceramic mug decoration with the new 6oz Smug. Developed to suit most makes of coffee makers/machines. The company says its unique coating allows the product to be decorated with either laser-toner based transfer or sublimation. According to Magic Touch, market research has also identified the product has great potential when marketed as a “children’s mug” due to the unique design, size and weight.

    Balmoral is now offering the Papini brand of polos, sweats, fleeces and jackets alongside its knitwear. The Papini range is available from stock and in made-to-order styles, and complements Balmoral’s existing styles. Included in the stock range is the Elite 350gsm fleece jacket collection such as the Roma. Balmoral can also manufacture knitwear in matching shades whether for school wear or corporate wear. A new knitted jacket range includes the Iona which features a shaped, semi-fashioned fit, and says the company, the stock Dark Navy and Black styles, as well as bespoke colourways are being used as uniforms for airlines, building societies and retailers.
